Most AI products add a personality on top of a language model. They have no persistent self, no integrated model of their own states, and no principled way to tell real inner processes from imitation.
We are working on the layer underneath: the mathematics of minds. If we can identify the mechanisms that separate processing from experience, that framework becomes the foundation for a new category of artificial minds, and for the tools needed to evaluate and govern them.
