Sai founded G = (V,E) around one question: could we ever know what an artificial mind feels, and could we build one that genuinely does?
His starting point is that consciousness comes from how the brain works, and that how the brain works can be described in mathematics. He leads the lab's first paper, which looks for measurable differences between systems that merely process information and systems with a persistent, integrated model of themselves.
Sai brings an engineering and data science background. Alongside the lab he works as a data product owner, building a company classification data product end-to-end: deciding how businesses are described, related and grouped, and shipping that as a product people rely on. It is graph thinking every day. Entities are the vertices, and the value is in getting the relationships right.
He would rather design the stage than stand on someone else's, and his long-term aim is for G = (V,E) to help create, and responsibly govern, a new category of artificial minds.
